Highlights of the Trip
Day 01: Arrival Day – 1400 m
Arrive in Kathmandu airport. Be picked up and transferred to hotel by company representative. Trip briefing in the evening.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour – B
A Full day exploration of heritages sites in Kathmandu that includes
Swoyambhunath aka Monkey Temple – The oldest monument in Kathmandu valley
Patan Durbar Square: One of the medieval palace squares in Kathmandu valley
Boudhanath Stupa: The biggest Buddhist Stupa in the world
Pashupatinath: Hindu temple area with open cremation ground for Hindus
Day 03: Kathmandu – Pokhara – B
Morning 25 minutes flight to Pokhara, beautiful city on the lap of Annapurna mountain range of the Himalayas.
Check into hotel and go for sightseeing tour of Pokhara. Sites include: World peace stupa, Davis falls, Gupteswor cave, boating on Lake Fewa. Evening at leisure to stroll around lakeside.
Day 04: Pokhara – Tikhedhunga – B|L|D
1.5 hours’ drive to Nayapul to start trek.
Trek to Tikhedhunga for about 5 hours including lunch break on the way. Walk on the dirt road through the village of Birethanti, Hile to Tikhedunga. Comparatively easy trekking day to the days coming.
Day 05: Tikhedhunga – Ghorepani –B|L|D
Early morning start of the day. Steep uphill walk on stone paved steps for the first two hours of the day to Ulleri. Lunch stop at Banthanti before entering the gentle uphill forest walk to Ghorepani for another 4-5 hours.
Day 06: Ghorepani – Tadapani – B|L|D
Early morning hike to Poonhill for one hour to witness panoramic Himalayan view and sunrise. Hike back to Ghorepani for breakfast and start the trek to Tadapani. 5 hours’ walk to Tadapani on varying uphill and downhill trail with spectacular landscape.
Day 07: Tadapani – Chhomrong – B|L|D
Walk to Chhomrong, a beautiful Gurung village, today. Steep downhill walk to a mountain stream bank before starting uphill walk after crossing a suspension bridge over the stream. The final section of the walk is on gentle straight trail to Chhomrong.
Day 08: Chhomrong – Dovan – B|L|D
Trek to Dovan via Sinua. Getting closer to the Annapurna Base Camp. Amazing Himalayan landscape.
Day 09: Dovan – Machhapuchhre Base Camp – B|L|D
One step ahead closer to the Annapurna Base Camp today after the walk to Macchapuchhre Base camp from Dobhan. Walking to the higher elevation.
Day 10: MBC – ABC – Dovan – B|L|D
Early morning walk to the destination of the trip, Annapurna Base Camp. Enjoy some quality moments at the base of the first climbed 8000 meters mountain in the world. Trek back down to Dovan via Machhapuchhre base camp.
Day 11: Dovan – Jhinu – B|L|D
Trace the trail back down to Jhinu. Once at Jhinu. go for a soothing natural hot spring bath on the bank of Modi Khola.
Day 12: Jhinu – Pokhara – B|L
Last day of the trek. Walk for about four hours and get on a jeep to reach Nayapul and drive another 1.5 hours to Pokhara.
Day 13: Pokhara Relaxation – B
A free day in Pokhara to relax. Lots of activities to do if you don’t want to stay idle.
Day 14: Pokhara – Kathmandu – B|D
Fly back to Kathmandu. Free afternoon to stroll around. Trip farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 15: Departure – B
Transfer to airport for departure flight.
